Halotherapy Etiquette

Please arrive 15 minutes before your session. It is encouraged that you stay inside the Halo Room once the session has started unless it's an emergency. Please make sure you use the restroom before your session starts!

Please be mindful of strong perfumes, deodorants, or cologne. Some individuals seeking Halotherapy are very sensitive to smells. Smokers must be smoke free for 2-3 weeks before they can attend Halotherapy.

You may experience dry throat at the beginning of your session. After a few minutes your sinuses may begin to drain. This is part of the natural process of cleaning out your sinuses! We will have boxes of tissues in the halotherapy rooms for you!

Halotherapy F.A.Q.'s

Q. What will happen when I sit in the Halo Room?
A. The Halo Room is designed to be a relaxing and calming environment. Feel free to kick off your shoes and relax (but remember to wear socks!). You will hear some soft spa music, and the gentle whirring of the Halogenerator. This is a great time to meditate, or do some deep breathing exercises to help the salt penetrate deep into your nasal passages and lungs.

Q. Are Electronics allowed in the Halo Room?
A. We do not allow any personal devices into the Halo Room due to the corrosive nature of salt. For your convenience, we have lockers with keys available to store your belongs. Feel free to bring a book or magazine into the Halo Room. Some people even take naps!

Q. What should I wear?
A. Whatever is comfortable. Loose fitting clothing is ideal to let your skin breathe. If you are seeking Halotherapy for skin concerns, try to leave that area uncovered as much as possible. You may find that at the end of your session, you will have a light dusting of salt on your clothes. This brushes off easily.

Please take note that no shoes are allowed in the Kid's Halo Room. Children and parents in the Kid's Halo Room must wear socks at all times.

You can choose to leave your shoes or sandals on in the Adult Halo Room, but if you choose to remove your shoes or sandals, please make sure you are wearing socks!

Q. Who should not attend Halotherapy?
A. Anyone with fever, severe hypertension, open wounds or sores, tuberculosis, lung cancer, or any contagious conditions. If you are questioning whether you should come to Halotherapy, seek your doctor's advice!

Q. Is the room heated?
A. The Halo Room is not heated. Halotherapy is conducted in a cool air conditioned room. For your own comfort, consider bringing a sweater.

Q. Are beverages allowed in the Halo Room?
A. We allow only a bottle of water into the Halo Room.

Q: How long is a session?
A: 45 Minutes

Q: How often should I come to Halotherapy
A. It depends on the individual how often you should come to halotherapy. Generally, the more often you come, the more effective it will be. For general wellness, once a week is encouraged. For chronic ongoing issues, 2-3 times a week. We do encourage that you come more frequently when you first start Halotherapy, it takes a few sessions to see results. Please don't be discouraged if you don't see the results you want after only one or two sessions.
